Fact-Checking Policy
Financial facts on Unpack Money are checked against primary sources before publication: the IRS, SEC, Federal Reserve, FDIC, CFPB, U.S. Treasury, official lender and issuer terms, bank disclosures, insurance carrier documents, brokerage disclosures, and state regulators. Product data (rates, fees, terms, offers) is re-verified on a schedule: green within 30 days, yellow at 31–60 days, red beyond 60 days — red records enter a manual verification queue. We never invent interest rates, APYs, fees, statistics, quotes, or experts.
